Is the mailing address a real street address or a PO Box?
It is a real US street address — a suite number at a commercial address in our facility network. It is not a PO Box and can be used on LLC filings, bank accounts, credit card applications, EIN applications, and business contracts. Many banks specifically require a non-PO Box address, and ours qualifies.
How quickly is my mail scanned after it arrives?
Mail is typically scanned within one business day of receipt. Professional and Business plan members receive priority processing with a target of 4 business hours. You receive an email and push notification the moment a scan is uploaded to your dashboard.
Can I use this address on my LLC formation documents?
Yes. You can use the Mail Room address as your principal office address and mailing address on LLC Articles of Organization. Note that it does not replace a registered agent — the registered agent must be a physical presence that can receive service of process in the state of formation. Kicker offers registered agent service separately, or bundled with formation plans.
What happens to mail I do not open?
Unopened mail is held securely at our facility for up to 30 days. You can view the sender and envelope scan, then choose to have it opened and scanned, forwarded physically, or shredded securely. We never discard mail without your explicit instruction.
Can I receive packages, not just letters?
Yes — the Professional and Business plans support parcel receipt. We notify you on arrival and hold parcels for up to 15 days. You can then request forwarding to any address worldwide. Note that oversized freight or hazardous materials are not accepted.
How do I forward physical mail to my home or another country?
From your dashboard, select the items you want forwarded and click Forward. We bundle your selected items and ship via USPS, FedEx, or DHL to any address worldwide. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination and weight. Professional plan members receive one bundled shipment per month included.
Is my mail secure and private?
All scans are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256) and transmitted over TLS. Access is restricted to your account and any team members you explicitly invite. Physical mail is held in a locked, access-controlled facility. We will never sell or share your mail data.
What is Form 1583 and do I need it?
USPS requires a completed and notarized Form 1583 to authorize a third-party mailbox provider to receive mail on your behalf. We provide a pre-filled Form 1583 for you to sign and notarize. Many banks also request this form as proof of your commercial mailing address. We guide you through the process at signup.
Can multiple people on my team access the mailbox?
Yes. The Business plan supports up to 5 team members with role-based access. You can grant read-only or full-action access to each member. Each action (open, forward, shred) is logged with a timestamp and the acting user for a complete audit trail.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel from your dashboard at any time. Your scanned mail archive remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation so you can download any documents you need. Annual plans receive a 20% discount and are refundable on a pro-rated basis within the first 30 days.
