How quickly can I get a US phone number?

Your number is active within minutes of signing up. Choose a local area code or a toll-free number (800, 888, 877, etc.) from available inventory. If you want to keep your existing business number, we handle the porting process, which typically takes 1–3 business days.

Can I port my existing business number?

Yes. We support full number porting for US numbers. Submit a port request from your dashboard and our team takes it from there. Your current service stays active throughout the transfer — there is no coverage gap.

What is the AI call handler and how does it work?

The AI call handler is powered by Vapi and uses advanced language models to hold natural, context-aware conversations with callers. You configure custom scripts for your use case — taking messages, qualifying leads, answering FAQs, or booking follow-ups. It can transfer to a live team member when needed and works 24/7 without additional staff.

How does SMS campaign compliance work?

Kicker Voice includes built-in TCPA compliance tools: automatic opt-out handling (replies of STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL remove the number from campaigns immediately), Do Not Call list management, and campaign-level consent tracking. Opt-out events are logged and visible in your analytics dashboard.

What voicemail transcription accuracy can I expect?

Voicemail audio is transcribed by Deepgram Nova-3 with accuracy typically above 95% for clear recordings. Each transcript is also summarised by an AI so you can read the key point in seconds. Transcripts and summaries are searchable from your dashboard.

Can my whole team share one number?

Yes. Growth and Business plans support team extensions — each team member gets a unique extension routed from your main number. Calls can be distributed round-robin, by availability, or by department. The unified inbox shows all calls and messages across the team.

Is call recording stored securely?

Yes. Recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage with configurable retention periods. Access is role-controlled — only users with the right permissions can play back or download recordings. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

What happens if I go over my plan's call or SMS limits?

Service does not cut out. Overage is billed at transparent per-minute (calls) and per-message (SMS) rates that are shown on your plan page. You can also upgrade at any time and the change takes effect immediately with prorated billing.

Does Kicker Voice integrate with CRMs or helpdesks?

Yes. The Business plan includes REST and GraphQL APIs plus real-time webhook events for every call, SMS, and voicemail event.
