When do I receive my money?
Starter and Growth plans process card payments on a next-business-day payout schedule. That means funds collected Monday arrive Tuesday, and so on. ACH bank transfers take an additional 1–2 days to clear before entering your payout cycle. Scale plan and above can access same-day payouts. Instant payouts (1% fee, minimum $2) are available on Growth and Scale any time you need funds immediately.
What are the exact fees?
Starter plan: 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card charge; 0.8% (capped at $5) per ACH transfer; +1.5% for currency conversion on international cards. Growth plan lowers card fees to 2.5% + $0.25 and ACH to 0.6% (capped at $4) for a flat $29/month. Scale plan offers 2.2% + $0.20 on cards, 0.5% ACH capped at $3, and +0.5% international — for $79/month. There are no monthly fees, setup fees, or card-reader rental fees beyond the plan subscription.
Do I need a developer to set up Kicker Pay?
No. Payment links, hosted checkout pages, and invoicing all work through the Kicker dashboard — no code required. If you want to embed a payment form on your own site or build a custom checkout flow, our REST API and pre-built SDKs (JavaScript, Node.js, Python, PHP) make that straightforward. Webhooks notify your backend of every payment event.
Can I accept recurring payments and subscriptions?
Yes, on the Growth plan and above. You can define subscription products with any cadence — weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual — and Kicker Pay handles the recurring charge automatically. The built-in card updater automatically refreshes expired or replaced card details through the networks, reducing failed payments by an average of 23% for our customers.
Which currencies can I accept?
Kicker Pay supports card charges in 135+ currencies. Your customers pay in their local currency; you receive USD in your Kicker balance. The conversion uses the mid-market exchange rate plus the currency conversion fee for your plan (1.5% on Starter, 1.0% on Growth, 0.5% on Scale). We display the exact converted amount in your dashboard for every transaction.
How does Kicker Pay protect against chargebacks?
3D Secure 2.0 authentication is enabled by default on all eligible card transactions, shifting liability for fraudulent chargebacks from you to the issuing bank. For disputes you do receive, the Kicker Pay dashboard (Scale plan) provides a dispute management toolkit — evidence upload, templated responses, and timeline tracking. Our fraud detection model flags suspicious transactions before they complete.
Is Kicker Pay connected to my Kicker bookkeeping?
Yes, and this is one of the core advantages of Kicker's integrated platform. Every Kicker Pay transaction is automatically categorized and synced to Kicker Bookkeeping in real time. Invoices marked paid in Kicker Pay update your accounts receivable instantly. At month-end, reconciliation takes seconds, not hours.
Can I use Kicker Pay if I already have a Stripe or PayPal account?
You can run them in parallel, but most customers migrate to Kicker Pay for the integrated bookkeeping and lower all-in cost. If you have existing Stripe subscriptions or saved customer payment methods, contact our support team — we have a migration path that transfers active subscriptions without requiring your customers to re-enter card details.
